One of the most popular and helpful books to those starting out on a course in theology is Alister E. McGrath’s, Christian Theology: An Introduction, now it its 6th edition. Its layout and content is based on many years experience teaching theology in a University setting and it aims to give a solid grounding in the subject that is understandable to anyone and assumes no prior knowledge. Professor McGrath has produced a very helpful video series that goes through each of the major sections of this book, which I have linked below.
You will be able to find links to the other 18 videos from YouTube.
Both of ALister McGrath’s books, Christian Theology: An Introduction and its companion volume The Christian Theology Reader are available via the online library, Perlego. As an affiliate of Perlego I am able to offer a 10% discount on a subscription, just click on this link and then search for the book titles.
